The physiotherapist design recreational exercise programme that aims at maximizing potential and facilitate development, participation and independence. The assessment and treatment of younger children is play-based in order to engage and motivate children in the activity and achieve desired results.
Older children, adolescents and caregivers are encouraged to participate in identifying goals and formulating an effective treatment plan that will work for their unique situation.
Physiotherapy is of utmost importance in children if they are experiencing neurological problems, fine or gross motor challenges related to growth and/or development.
The treatment is incorporated into simple everyday activities. Advice and training are provided so that the family can help and encourage the child to practice their physiotherapy programme.
